Presbia Flexivue Microlens™

presbia1

Do you have difficulty reading fine print, have eyestrain when reading or does your vision blur when transitioning between near and far distances? If so, you could have a condition called presbyopia.

Presbyopia is the normal age-related loss of the ability to focus on near objects and eventually affects everyone, usually starting in your forties including those who are nearsighted, farsighted, or had perfect vision most of their lives.

You should know that there is a solution that might be right for treating your presbyopia. The Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ is a fast, safe, and painless procedure that will roll back the clock on your aging vision.

How Presbyopia Affects Vision

Over time, the eye’s natural lens becomes too stiff to focus up close.

presbia2

Presbyopia is a condition in which the pliable natural crystalline lens in your eyes lose flexibility and can no longer ‘accommodate’ or focus on near objects. As a result, in order to read or see near objects in focus, reading glasses with your prescription are required.

How the Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ Inlay Works

presbia-logo

The Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ is a tiny lens which incorporates your specific refractive correction. The lens is so thin that it can’t be felt and it’s invisible to the naked eye.

In a quick and painless procedure, your near vision capability can be improved to the point of lessened dependence or no dependence on reading glasses in the future. The Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ can be safely removed or replaced if your presbyopia advances and a stronger prescription is required (although the need for this is very rare).

Results

Patients go home soon after the procedure to relax for the rest of the day. Most patients report improvement in their vision almost immediately and most resume their normal activities within a day or two. The Presbia procedure can be done with or without combined laser correction of your distance vision, and adaptation can vary from person to person. Your vision should continue to improve as you adapt to the new lens.

Don’t let presbyopia interrupt your active lifestyle. Know that the Presbia Flexivue Microlens™ is available to meet your needs, providing safety, performance, and satisfaction.
